Short Description
- Directs daily activities within the department.
- Facilitates employee orientation and training.
- Performs area specific QA/QC procedures.
- Performs radiographic procedures in accordance with the ALARA concept.
- Assists physicians with radiographic procedures.
- Performs various operations using radiographic and associated equipment.
- Assures maintenance of all radiographic and associated equipment.
- Maintains patient records via appropriate system.
- Performs patient care functions in a safe environment.
- Adheres to hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Substantiates status of good standing with state and national licensing/credentialing agencies by the submission of appropriate documentation.
- Interacts effectively with all customers.
- Assists staff and students in the performance of radiographic procedures and associated duties.
- Participates in the evaluation of staff and students as needed.
- Assists with the transportation of patients, maintains work area and performs basic clerical duties.
Experience Required
Certificate of completion/Degree from an Accredited Radiograph Program.
Minimum of 3 years clinical experience; biennial completion of minimum required CE credits to maintain required certification/accreditation
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
License/Certification Requirements
- Must be licensed by the NJDEPE and credentialed in radiograph and mammography by the ARRT.
- Current ARRT - American Registry Radiology Tech License.
- Current NJ-RADTECH - NJ Radiology Tech License.
- CPR certification
