Cooper Truck & Trailer is one of Southwest Iowa's fastest-growing truck repair facilities, and we're looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Paint & Body Technician to join our team.
If you take pride in quality workmanship, enjoy seeing a project through from damaged to restored, and want to work on everything from collision repairs to custom truck projects, we want to talk with you.
What You'll Do
- Perform collision and body repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Repair and replace damaged panels, doors, hoods, bumpers, and structural components
- Conduct fiberglass and aluminum repairs
- Prepare surfaces for paint, including sanding, masking, and priming
- Perform paint blending, refinishing, and complete paint jobs
- Assist with frame straightening and structural repairs
- Complete truck and trailer restoration projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Document repairs and communicate effectively with management
QualificationsPreferred Experience
- Body shop experience required
- Heavy-duty truck or trailer experience preferred but not required
- Experience with paint preparation and spray equipment
- Knowledge of collision repair techniques
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
