About the Role
As a Human Resource Generalist, you'll play a vital role in supporting our shop and office teams. You'll be hands on with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, training, benefits, and engagement activities, all while promoting a positive and productive work environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, solving problems, and driving employee success.
What You'll Do
- Partner with shop management and employees to build trust, resolve issues, and support HR needs.
- Manage recruiting and onboarding, including job postings, interviews, and new hire orientation.
- Coordinate employee engagement activities that strengthen culture and morale.
- Maintain accurate employee records and reports in our HRIS system.
- Communicate HR policies and provide guidance to managers and employees.
- Support leave of absence management and other employee programs.
- Participate in toolbox talks and internal communications.
- Build community connections to enhance Cooper Steel's visibility and reputation.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
