Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Septic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing septic systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations. This role requires hands-on mechanical skills, experience operating heavy equipment, and the ability to work in diverse construction and outdoor environments. The Septic Technician plays a vital role in providing quality service to our clients while maintaining safety and efficiency on every job site.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain septic systems according to industry standards and local codes
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and forklifts safely and efficiently
- Perform rigging and lifting operations for large components using appropriate tools and techniques
- Conduct inspections of septic tanks, drain fields, and related infrastructure
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools to complete tasks
- Drive trucks to various job sites, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Assist with construction site setup, including site preparation and material handling
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
Requirements
- Proven experience with heavy equipment operation, rigging, welding, and mechanical repairs
- Knowledge of septic system installation and maintenance procedures
- Construction site experience is highly desirable
- Valid truck driving license with a clean driving record
- Familiarity with oil & gas industry standards is a plus
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other construction machinery safely
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience working with oil & gas or on construction sites is preferred

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
