What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at Cooper's Restaurant and Sports Bar?
Duties:
- Greeting and welcoming guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escorting guests to their tables and providing them with menus
- Assisting guests with any special requests or accommodations
- Taking reservations and managing the waitlist
- Answering phone calls and providing information to callers
- Operating the POS system, specifically Aloha POS, to input orders and process payments
- Ensuring a clean and organized host/host station
Skills:
- Excellent guest relations skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of hospitality industry practices and standards
- Willingness to help and assist guests with their needs
- Familiarity with hotel guest services is a plus
