Role Description: The Worship Leader is a part-time, on-site position based in North Charleston, SC. This role is responsible for planning, leading, and coordinating worship music for weekly services and special events, including the youth ministry. Weekly tasks include selecting songs, preparing musical arrangements, rehearsing with vocalists and instrumentalists, and leading congregational singing. The Worship Leader collaborates with pastoral and technical teams to ensure worship services are organized, scripturally grounded, and musically cohesive, while fostering a worship environment that is engaging and accessible for all attendees.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in worship music leadership, including planning and leading congregational worship.
- Strong musical abilities, with proficiency in guitar or another primary instrument.
- Ability to lead and guide vocalists.
- Research skills for selecting worship songs, resources, and materials that align with the church’s doctrine and culture.
- Previous experience in church worship leadership or comparable musical ministry is preferred.
