What are the responsibilities and job description for the "Flex" Direct Support Professional position at Cooper Hollow Residential Services?
We are looking for experienced Direct Support Professionals.
**This position will be designated as a "Flex" Position, used as needed. Flexibility is key as shifts and days will vary week to week. Flex DSPs will receive their schedule no later than Thursday evening for the upcoming week.
**Generally 35-hours per week.
**Experience within the field, particularly with "high-behavior" individuals is crucial.
**Position may require overnight and weekend hours.
**Travel will be necessary. Cooper Hollow Residential Services currently operates Programs in both Monmouth and McMinnville.
Some duties of Direct Care Staff are:
- Administer and document resident medications and treatments as prescribed
- Support and help improve hygiene habits as appropriate.
- Assist in shopping for personal hygiene items or other personal items.
- Assist individuals with grocery shopping for themselves and their home.
- Follow menus and diets and help clients to make healthy decisions regarding food choices.
- Provide for the general supervision, care, and support of all individuals receiving services
- Maintain the dignity and rights of the individual
Documentation
Complete and maintain accurate records for the following:
- Medications and treatments
- Finances
- Behaviors
We will provide the training and necessary certifications (OIS & First Aid/CPR) at no cost to you.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must pass Criminal Background Check
Ability to maintain records and document observations
Ability to maintain positive and professional relationships with the individuals we serve and your co-workers'
