Guest Services Fitness Coordinator

Description

The Guest Services Fitness Coordinator assists with day-to-day fitness operations and programs according to the company’s vision, values, and strategic objectives onsite at the Wellington Athletic Club (WAC) in Flower Mound, TX. The Fitness Coordinator is responsible for responding to the needs of all members on the fitness center floor. Part-Time

Schedule: Saturdays 8 AM - 1 PM, and up to two weeknights 3 PM - 8 PM

Fitness Coordinator Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Your most important function is customer service for the members. No other duties should be performed unless all members on the floor have been greeted and your service offered.
• Actively circulate fitness floor and supervision activities at WAC to ensure safety for all parties.
• Member-to-member and member-to-staff introductions.
• Provide new member orientations and individualized exercise instruction.
• Perform daily light cleaning of exercise equipment and fitness supplies as needed.
• Complete hourly/daily tasks checklist(s) as assigned by the Fitness Manager.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Assistance in promoting and offering fitness program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation in conjunction with wellness programs.
• Participate with staff in regular special member events and wellness programs.
• Maintain monthly counts of appointments and group exercise statistics.

Requirements

The ideal Fitness Coordinator candidate will possess the following:

• Practical knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Ability to demonstrate proper exercise technique.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Possess basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Suite is required. 

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university (preferred); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have at least one year of experience in either a corporate or commercial fitness facility setting.
• Professional fitness certification (ACSM, ACE, Cooper, NASM, or similar) 
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (must be obtained within 60 days of hire).
