The position of Retail Associate/Warehouse worker is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. A person in this position is accountable for all Customer Transaction as well as payment-related functions, along with a strong customer service emphasis. Retail Associates are required to perform all required tasks with the utmost concentration and dedication. Retail Associates must be well versed in the standard operating procedures of the company.
Job Summary:
These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently.
- Acknowledge all customers, employees, and vendors.
- Assist customers with all transactions for the purchase or return of goods and services.
- Clean, organize, and stock shelves in a timely manner.
- Answer multiple phone lines.
- Assist other employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Lift 50 pounds
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Must be willing to become propane certified upon hire.
- Must be willing to become forklift certified to drive and load products on and off truck and trailers.
- Acknowledge all customers, employees, and vendors in a friendly and appropriate manner.
- Ability to multitask and determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
- Ability to communicate using proper telephone etiquette with customers, other employees, and vendors.
- Must have a strong team player focus in all interactions.
- Ability to properly handle money, give change and record multiple transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
