Cooney Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a committed and patient-focused, PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patient well-being, rehabilitation, and recovery by providing direct support to an occupational therapist. You will help assist patients with physical, mental, emotional, or social limitations to improve their quality of life and independence. You will offer effective and client-centered services that will enable people to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities. The Helena area is nestled in-between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks, and offers close proximity to ski resorts, lakes, hiking, golfing, and outdoor activities galore. In Downtown Helena you can enjoy a walking street lined with cute boutiques and restaurants.

Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
- Must hold current and active license or registration in state employed
- Minimum one (1) year experience working with adults in a health care setting preferred
Language Skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform required duties.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Bi-lingual skills welcome
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Completion of orientation required by company policy.
- Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment.
- Mandatory drug test upon hire.
- Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
- Become familiar with and comply to all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
- Show within three (3) days of hire satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- Frequently move about the facility.
- Frequently assist patients with exercises.
- Must be able to rapidly assist in the evacuation of all residents from the building in case of emergency.
