Position Overview
The Quality Manager at the Cooler Master facility acts as the lead liaison for all customer and vendor-related quality matters. This role manages the end-to-end quality feedback loop, from overseeing supplier quality audits to resolving customer complaints through robust Root Cause Analysis (RCA). By fostering a culture of 'Right First Time' across the production floor and throughout the supply chain, this individual ensures that every product leaving the facility reflects the highest standards of reliability and brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design, documentation, and implementation of a new Quality Management System (QMS) for the facility, with the primary objective of achieving and sustaining formal ISO 9001 certification.
- Lead all internal and external quality audits, serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and customer auditors to ensure zero major non-conformances.
- Lead the FAI process for all new products or significant process changes, ensuring that the first units produced meet 100% of engineering and customer specifications before mass production begins.
- Execute specialized projects and technical assignments as directed by leadership to support facility-wide operational, safety, and certification goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial), Operations Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of leading inspection teams.
- Extensive experience in the design, implementation, and management of an ISO 9001 Quality Management System from the ground up.
- Deep technical understanding of IQC, IPQC, and Final Inspection protocols, including the development of inspection plans and sampling methodologies.
- Hands-on experience managing equipment calibration programs and the proper use of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.).
- Strong competency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and the ability to interpret data trends to prevent quality escapes.
- Experience performing vendor audits and establishing scorecard systems to ensure raw material compliance.
- Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Manager (CQM/OE) are highly desirable.
