Position Overview
The Program provides low-cost women’s healthcare through paid mid-level providers; no cost primary healthcare and chronic disease management to low income, uninsured women and men one evening per week through volunteer healthcare professionals; and behavioral health through contractors and volunteers to assure integrated care. Community based screening services, such as mobile mammography, are conducted routinely through staff and through area partnerships, and group health education is offered to patients as well as the community on a host of topics, such as diabetes prevention, breast health, and environmental health.
Reporting to the Clinic Manager, and under the oversight of our Medical Director, the Clinician is responsible for providing women’s health services for patients. Services offered include Well Woman care, family planning, clinical breast exams, complete blood work, STI testing (including HIV), blood pressure evaluation, and mammogram referral.

Reporting to the Clinic Manager, and under the oversight of our Medical Director, the Clinician is responsible for providing women’s health services for patients. Services offered include Well Woman care, family planning, clinical breast exams, complete blood work, STI testing (including HIV), blood pressure evaluation, and mammogram referral.
Essential Position Responsibilities
- Provides preventive and women’s health care services to clients
- Assesses health needs of patients
- Assists patients in following prescribed health care plan
- Assists patients in securing medical or other related services not provided by the program.
- Makes referrals to appropriate agencies and other services, based upon patient needs
- Provides patient education on health-related topics
- Manages patient records and documents visits through charts
- Contacts patients needing follow-up in a timely manner
- Reviews patient labs on a weekly basis and ensures result letters are sent out in a timely manner.
- Ensures patient charts are in appropriate storage and or documented fully in the EMR system at the end of each clinic day
- Provides health care workshops to program participants and community, as needed
- Supervises Medical Assistant
- Family, adult health or women’s health nurse practitioner or physician assistant National certification.
- Current advanced practice license for the State of Georgia.
- Minimum two (2) years’ work experience in a clinic environment as a Clinician
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent patient bed-side manner
