Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for children in preschool, toddler, and infant care settings
- Create a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Monitor children’s behavior using effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions
- Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene routines in accordance with health and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of children's activities, development milestones, and attendance
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized plans for children with special needs or disabilities
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar caregiving roles
- Classroom experience in early childhood education or related fields preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and foster positive relationships with children and families
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in a structured setting is highly valued
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families
