Summary: We are seeking a skilled Network Systems Engineer to assist in the planning, forecasting, and implementation of resource requirements for network systems, including wireless, of moderate complexity. This role involves participating in network planning, architecture design, and engineering, as well as integrating and schematically depicting complete network configurations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in network planning and architecture design.
- Integrate communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, and signaling links into network configurations.
- Evaluate new products and perform network problem resolution.
- Assist in the development and documentation of technical standards and interface applications.
- Monitor protocol compatibility, perform system tuning, and recommend improvements.
- Work on projects/systems/issues of medium to high complexity surrounding network planning, configuration, and optimization.
- Participate as a project team member or occasionally as a project team lead.
- Coach more junior technical staff as necessary.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments performing network engineering, design, planning, and implementation.
- Experience with network planning, configuration, and optimization for medium to high complexity projects.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and occasionally lead project teams.
