Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. Duties
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity
- Maintain speed of service standards
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including merchandising and stocking shelves as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Assist in stocking and organizing
- Support management staff during busy periods or as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience with cashiering, retail sales, or grocery store operations is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales purposes
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Experience supervising or leading team members is advantageous but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
