Body Shop Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers and insurance adjusters, accurately assessing vehicle damage and estimating repair costs. Your expertise will ensure transparent communication, efficient workflow, and high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess extent of repairs needed, including auto body repair, mechanical issues, and component replacements.
• Prepare detailed repair estimates using auto estimating software, ensuring accuracy in parts, labor, and materials costs.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, timelines, and costs, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
• Manage service writing documentation accurately and efficiently; handle cash transactions when necessary.
• Liaise with insurance companies for claim approvals and provide detailed reports on vehicle damage assessments.

Experience

• Proven experience in auto estimating, service writing, or automotive diagnostics.
• Strong mechanical knowledge across a range of repairs including auto body repair, transmissions, brake repair, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts, and diesel engine repair.
• Demonstrated ability in customer service with excellent communication skills; comfortable handling sales and upselling opportunities.
• Familiarity with automotive repair processes and general vehicle maintenance.
