About Us: Cookie Finance is a rapidly growing technology-driven accounting and tax firm that works exclusively with content creators and social media influencers. We work with clients across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and other platforms. Our CookieJar software platform is used by our customers and employees to manage finances and grow creator businesses.
Position Overview: We are seeking a talented software developer to join our fast-growing engineering team. This is a full-stack position and we are seeking someone that can design scalable and well-crafted frontend and backend systems in Typescript. This is a hybrid position with expectations to work in our Syracuse office 3 days a week and 2 days from home. You will report to the CTO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance our web application (Node / React) using Typescript and GraphQL
- Design and optimize data modelsin relational and non-relational databases
- Contribute innovative ideas in an entrepreneurial environment
- Architect code system and frameworks that can be adopted by the development team
- Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with the team
- Collaborate closely with non-technical team members to refine product ideas
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve development processes
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Node/React development
- Experience with Typescript and GraphQL
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g. Postgres) and ORMs (e.g. Prisma)
- Strong background in modern testing methodologies (unit, integration)
- Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization
- Experience integrating with financial platforms such as Quickbooks, Stripe, Plaid, etc.
- Experience integrating with social media platforms (Meta/IG, Google/YT, Tiktok)
- HTML5 and CSS3 skills to translate a Figma design into functional HTML

The targeted hiring base salary range for this role is between $110,000-$120,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
