About Us
We are a highly reputable, established in 1969, automotive repair shop in Cookeville specializing in transmission and drivetrain repairs, along with general automotive service. Our shop is known for honesty, quality work, and treating customers like family.
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative / Administrative Assistant.
Position Overview
This is a key support role in our front office. You will be the first point of contact for many of our customers and will help keep the shop running smoothly by handling phone calls, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
This role is critical to keeping our shop running efficiently. The right person will help ensure customers are taken care of quickly, phones are answered promptly, and work flows smoothly through the shop.
This position is ideal for someone who is:

Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally (this is a top priority)
- Schedule appointments and manage the shop calendar
- Provide status updates and follow up with customers
- Support the Service Advisor and Service Manager
- Assist with invoicing, receipts, and data entry (QuickBooks or similar)
- Maintain organized customer records and paperwork
- Help ensure a smooth and efficient workflow in the shop
- Greet customers and provide excellent front-desk service
Qualifications
- Previous customer service or administrative experience preferred
- Strong communication skills (phone and in-person)
- Basic computer skills (email, data entry, familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus)
- Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to stay focused in a busy environment
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Automotive knowledge is a plus but NOT required (we will train the right person)
