Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and provide clear explanations of recommended services
- Prepare accurate repair estimates utilizing estimating software and communicate these effectively to customers
- Upsell additional services and maintenance options that enhance vehicle performance and safety while aligning with customer needs
- Write comprehensive service reports and maintain precise service writing documentation for each vehicle repair or maintenance job
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work orders
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage client communication professionally throughout the service process
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or in auto service management within a dealership or automotive repair setting
- Some mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, oil changes, suspension work, tire service, diesel engines, shocks & struts, brake repair, and air brake systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and confidently
- Experience in auto estimating and service writing to produce accurate repair quotes and invoices
- Demonstrated ability to upsell services ethically while maintaining customer trust
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles as needed
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
