12Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats, providing family oriented services to the home health patient with oral-motor and/or communication disorders secondary to developmental delays, neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardio-pulmonary impairments; as well as traumatic injuries and swallowing disorders. This includes patient and caregiver education; discharge planning; and consultation to other professionals, clinics, or agencies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in speech/language pathology or communication disorders or related
- Pediatric experience preferred
- CPR certification
- State license or eligible for state licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech/Language Pathology, or eligible for application upon completion of Clinical Fellowship Year and must be obtained within 12 months of hire to maintain employment at Cook
- Current Texas driver license in good standing
