SUMMARY
The Landscape Laborer – Hardscaping is responsible for maximizing profitability by exceeding work assignments and performance to deliver an exceptional customer experience to garner continued and repeat business.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Crew Leader - Hardscaping.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides exceptional customer satisfaction, both internally and externally.
- Loads and unloads the truck for jobs at the beginning of each day and stores and manages all equipment and tools at the end of the day.
- Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
- Operates equipment including, but not limited to blower, saws, drills, etc. May operate heavier equipment as needed and/ or requested.
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment.
- Installs stone, cement, wall block, lighting, water features, etc. as needed and/ or requested.
- Assists with the production, including but not limited to, Allen Block walls, natural stone walls and steps, water features, paver patios and concrete, etc.
- Assists with landscaping crews when needed and/ or requested by digging, planting, grading, and mulching, etc.
- Takes basic direction from supervisors and management.
- Seeks cross-training and career development opportunities consistently to increase job effectiveness and productivity by being exposed to and learning hardscaping production.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- GED or High School Diploma strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License strongly preferred.
- General knowledge of the landscape and hardscape industry and experience preferred.
- Must be able to communicate and work well with others and provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines by prioritizing tasks and keeping projects on schedule while working independently.
- Must adhere to company’s uniform policy.
- Meet consistently meet company attendance standards.
- Must be willing to work weekends or overtime as necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able available, willing, and able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in a variety of weather conditions including snow during the winter months.
- Must be able to stand, squat, sit, walk, kneel, bend over for extended periods of time, and lift up to 40 pounds.
