Responsibilities
- Safely ascend trees using climbing gear to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks with precision and care
- Operate bucket trucks and aerial lifts to access hard-to-reach areas for tree maintenance and landscape work
- Rig trees or branches as needed for safe removal or pruning, ensuring proper techniques are followed
- Conduct routine inspections of trees and landscapes to identify health issues or hazards
- Assist with general landscape maintenance including lawn care, planting, and shrub trimming
- Follow safety protocols consistently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
Skills
- Proven experience in tree care, tree trimming, or landscaping
- Strong ability in rigging techniques for safe tree removal or branch control
- Skilled in operating bucket trucks and aerial lifts safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general gardening practices
- Ability to assess tree health and growth patterns to recommend appropriate care strategies
- Excellent physical fitness with the ability to climb trees, work at heights, and perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions
