Responsibilities
- Manage 60 milking cow herd on Lely robotic milking system software
- Manage 100 replacement heifers.
- Operate farm machinery (Feed livestock and haul manure)
- Assist with AI breeding, herd health, and vet checks as needed
- Participate in field work including planting, chopping and baling
- Lead educational tours to visiting groups
- Direct part-time farm staff effectively
Qualifications
- Familiarity with performing job requirements listed above
- Previous dairy cattle experience and/or undergraduate education in related field of study preferred
- Knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to participate in physically demanding work
- Must be willing to complete background check
