Shop & Warehouse Associate – Construction - Onsite

Location: Brooklyn Heights, OH
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (30-minute lunch)
Compensation: $18–$22 per hour

Position Overview

The Shop & Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily shop and warehouse operations, with a strong focus on inventory management, system entry, and coordination of materials, tools, and equipment. This role assists Shop and Warehouse Managers by ensuring accurate tracking of parts and equipment, maintaining organized facilities, and supporting field operations through timely deliveries and pickups.

Essential Accountabilities

Shop, Warehouse & Yard Operations

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse, shop, and yard.
• Conduct routine walk-throughs to ensure materials and equipment are properly stored and accessible.
• Assist with small tool maintenance and basic equipment upkeep.
• Clean and maintain company equipment and vehicles.

Logistics & Field Support

• Deliver and pick up materials, tools, equipment, and documentation for job sites.
• Coordinate with field teams to support project needs in a timely manner.
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and preparing items for job site use.

Inventory & Systems

• Assist with inventory tracking of raw materials, small tools, and equipment.
• Enter, update, and maintain parts and equipment data in company systems (HCSS or similar).
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies.
• Support organization and tracking of tools, parts, and equipment across projects.

General Support

• Assist with special projects and additional operational needs as assigned.
• Support a safe work environment and follow all company safety standards.
• General housekeeping.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License required
• Must be at least 21 years of age to meet the company's commercial auto insurance requirements for operating company vehicles
• Must maintain four (4) or fewer points on your driving record and be eligible to operate company vehicles under the company's insurance policy
• Basic computer skills required (data entry, system updates, tracking)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

Preferred

• Construction, warehouse, or shop experience
• Familiarity with inventory systems (HCSS or similar)
• OSHA 10
• First Aid / CPR
• Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification
• Small equipment repair experience

Work Enviornment

This position works in a combination of shop, warehouse, yard, and job site environments, supporting both internal operations and field teams.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments in varying conditions
