No long-distance travel; all projects are located in Northeast Ohio and the surrounding area.

We are seeking a skilled Foreman (Site/Utility) to join our team.
Job Overview
The Site/Utility Foreman is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing all site and utility construction field activities. This role ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. The Foreman leads crews in executing daily construction tasks, collaborates with Project Managers and Superintendents to establish work strategies, and monitors all phases of the construction process to maintain quality and productivity standards.
Essential Accountabilities
Pre-Construction & Project Planning
- Attend project hand-off meetings, obtain project plans and permits from the Project Manager.
- Coordinate and lead pre-construction meetings on-site with the Project Manager, Superintendent, Safety Manager, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and communicate daily game plans and project goals to field crews.
- Coordinate OUPS notifications with Project Manager and ensure all required inspections and testing are scheduled.
- Attend operations meetings and work with the Superintendent, Warehouse Manager, and Resource Coordinator to plan material, equipment, and labor needs.
- Identify staging areas, dump sites, and lay-down yards to support efficient execution.
Administrative
- Engage in pro-active, practical day-to-day problem-solving to maximize the profitability of each project while putting safety as the top priority. Eliminate double-up work potential, demurrage charges, trucking conflicts, etc.
- Secure all items on the site to minimize risk and company liability: safety, theft, equipment damage, etc.
- Enter all labor, material, equipment, and required expenses into Heavy Job against project budget(s) dailyusing proper codes.
- Communicate the need for change orders to the Project Manager, as required.
- Manage "punch" list and exercise independent judgment relative to field changes, task-order sequence changes, etc., with or without minimal impact to the project cost and schedule.
- Support close-outs as required.
- Lead site demobilization of the project and ensure return of equipment and materials.
Supervisory
- Work with the crew to develop a project plan: research project locations, dumpsites, lay-down areas, and storage yards.
- Provide hands-on, day-to-day leadership and direction to field crews.
- Develop and communicate a daily work plan. Oversee job progress, crew productivity, and quality of work; make real-time adjustments as needed and track ongoing performance.
- Conduct daily Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and submit to the Safety Manager.
- Ensure all crew members follow safety protocols and company procedures.
- Evaluate and document crew performance daily; take appropriate corrective action in consultation with leadership.
- Foster a positive team culture and professional representation on the job site.
- Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ensure vehicle and equipment inspections are completed daily and any issues or repairs are communicated to the shop immediately.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 7 years of construction field experience, including 3 years in site/utility work:
- Concrete installation and finishing
- Underground utilities
- Storm and sanitary pipe installation
- Casting adjustments
- Confined space entry
- Trenching, conduit, handhole, and manhole installation
- Excavation
- Site survey / Grade / Layout
- 3 years of construction supervisory experience
- Excellent interpersonal and team communication skills

Physical Requirements
- Sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and use hands/arms to operate equipment and tools.
- Climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary.
- Work in active construction environments with varying noise levels and weather conditions.
- Use close vision and distinguish colors for equipment evaluation and repair.
