Café Manager – Nature’s Table
Full Time, Exempt (40 hours per week)
Nature’s Table serves fresh, tasty food for dine in, carry-out, and catering. Located inside of the Cook Museum of Natural Science, Nature’s Table is open Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm. We serve healthy wraps, sandwiches, salads, protein bowls, smoothies, coffee, and more, all made to order with the freshest ingredients. From a quick bite on-the-go to box lunches for groups or a refreshing smoothie, something delicious is always on the table.
We are looking for someone who has a proven record of leadership in a restaurant environment and has strong organization and communication skills. Flexibility to work some Saturdays and periodic special events (early mornings and evenings) is required. Essential Functions
- Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control, focusing on minimizing waste
- Ensure adherence to health and safety, food hygiene, and sanitation regulations
- Staff supervision
- Recruit, train, and schedule restaurant staff
- Promote a positive team environment and excellent customer service culture
