Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for education on a two-for-one basis).
  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in business management, property management, operations, or a related field.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As Director of Business Improvement, you will lead initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness and support CIHA's strategic objectives. Working across departments, you will help identify opportunities to improve operations, enhance services, and implement solutions that create lasting value for the organization and the communities we serve.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead enterprise-wide improvement initiatives that advance organizational priorities and drive measurable results.
  • Partner with department leaders to evaluate existing processes, systems, and workflows and identify opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate the planning, execution, and evaluation of strategic projects from concept through implementation.
  • Guide cross-functional teams in developing and testing solutions to operational challenges and service delivery opportunities.
  • Establish project plans, timelines, performance measures, and reporting mechanisms to ensure accountability and successful outcomes.
  • Monitor progress, assess results, and communicate project status and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Research industry trends, best practices, and emerging approaches to support informed decision-making and innovation.
  • Support implementation of internal audit recommendations and organizational improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development to ensure successful adoption and sustainability of process improvements.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Business Improvement staff while supporting department goals and organizational priorities.
  • Serve on organizational councils, committees, and collaborative workgroups that support CIHA's strategic initiatives.
