Overview

Cook Medical is seeking an experienced and dynamic Events Specialist 2 to join our Event Management team. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to create impactful physical and digital event experiences that foster customer relationships, engage employees, and connect us to our communities. You will bring practical knowledge of event planning and execution, particularly within internal, external, and Medical Education events. The Event Specialist 2 actively participates in marketing modernization initiatives, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and level 4 department level business improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a core member of the central event management team for internal, external, and medical education events.
  • Design and execute exceptional physical and virtual event environments that align with business and brand strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to influence event decision-making based on previous experiences and best practices.
  • Partner with Division Event Managers to ensure event planning and execution meet performance metrics.
  • Utilize event-specific tools, software, and mobile apps effectively.
  • Support global and regional objectives by improving processes and systems.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to Level 1 Event Specialists.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of completion.
  • Ensure compliance with country-specific legal and healthcare regulations.
  • Provide on-site event leadership and support team members as needed.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Resolve conflicts effectively and adhere to safety and quality standards.
  • Uphold Cook’s Code of Conduct in all business activities.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of event management or relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Events Management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in medical marketing, healthcare industry, or event management preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of best practices in event planning and execution.
  • Familiarity with country-specific compliance and legal requirements related to healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational, task management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and independently.

Physical & Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a general office environment.
  • Travel to events (up to 20%) for on-site logistics management.
  • Prolonged sitting, with occasional bending, stooping, and stretching.
