What You Will Earn:
The anticipated starting hourly rate for this position is $47.87 (Step 1) -$51.77 (Step 3)/hour depending on experience. With a full future earning potential of $47.87 (Step 1) -$65.51 (Step 9)/hour ($99,569.60 - $136,260.80 annually). This position is a full-time 40 hours per week and eligible for full-time county BENEFITS PACKAGE.
Job Summary:
Provide professional legal services under the direction and supervision of the County Attorney.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Law Degree from an accredited educational institution, plus one (1) years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Must pass a background check and allow finger printing for access to criminal justice network information.
- Must maintain continuing legal education credits, including a sufficient number in criminal law to maintain currency in criminal law. Must dedicate at least one hour per year of continuing legal education to training on topics related to intimate partner violence prosecution and one hour per year related to sex crime prosecution.
Required Certifications/Licenses
- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota, or must attain licensure within six (6) months of appointment. Must maintain professional standing with the Supreme Court of the State of Minnesota.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Pay: $99,569.60 - $107,681.60 per year
