Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and manage patient intake with professionalism and efficiency
- Schedule appointments accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Chirotouch
- Verify insurance coverage, process payments, and handle medical billing and collections with precision
- Maintain organized medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, providing clear information and directing calls appropriately
- Assist with insurance verification, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and documentation review to support accurate billing processes
- Support clinic operations by managing filing systems, updating patient information, and coordinating care plans
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, preferably in chiropractic or dental clinics
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in EMR systems, such as Chirotouch is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and Medicare guidelines
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
