The Program Specialist II assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. This role#also participates in family crisis intervention, teaching, group process and on call as needed. Education # Experience Bachelor#s degree required # preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field Prior employees grandfathered in with at least 2 years of previous inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college. Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred Pediatric experience preferred Child growth and development education required Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification BLS CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 # 9-10 plus the CPI Children#s Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start date.
