What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Exercise Instructor position at Conway Regional Health System?
Overview
The group exercise instructor is responsible for leading and instructing the various group fitness classes offered to the members and guests of the Health and Fitness Center.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
This position is a designated as "Safety Sensitive Position" under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Proof of high school diploma or equivalent or higher education.
- Current certification as a group fitness instructor or leader for land-based classes from a national fitness organization
- If instructing classes in yoga, Pilates, spinning or related specialty class, must have nationally recognized certification or evidence of sufficient training or education in that specialty approved by the department director.
- American Heart Association AED/CPR certification or within 3 months of hire
