Qualifications

• High school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED)
• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds or more
• Ability to climb all ladder sizes
• Ability to do routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying heavy items

Maintenance Supervisor/Building Principal

Terms Of Employment

The contract length will be 240 days.

The salary schedule will be P - Custodial.

Evaluation

Based on local district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines, and performed by the maintenance supervisor who is assisted by the building principal in regard to evaluations.

Job Goal

The Maintenance Custodian will be responsible for the exterior and interior cleanliness of the school/location to which they are assigned.

Performance Responsibilities

• Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
• Sweeps, dust-mops, wet-mops, scrubs, strips and waxes floors, vacuums carpets; ability to operate an auto-scrubber, buffer, and scrubber.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and classrooms.
• Cleans windows and door glass.
• Cleans and sanitizes sinks, countertops, microwaves, coffee makers, and refrigerators in break rooms.
• Cleans cafeteria.
• Empties trash and replaces trash liners.
• Dusts desks, furniture, and window sills.
• Picks up trash, maintains school grounds (ability to operate a mower and weed eater)
• Performs other cleaning, as needed, to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Maintains custodial floor equipment.
• Follows all Material Safety Data Sheet directions on all chemical products used by the Conway Public School District, uses proper labeling, and follows all safety procedures.
• Ability to work and communicate with other personnel working for the Conway School District and the students who attend Conway Public Schools.
• Other duties, as assigned.
