Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy and medium duty trucks, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding and hand tools to optimize equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair automotive electrical systems, suspensions, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and other mechanical systems.
- Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed; follow manufacturer guidelines for vehicle systems repair and maintenance schedules.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and equipment assembly/disassembly to support ongoing operations.
Experience
- Proven dealership or heavy duty truck repair experience with a strong background in diesel mechanics.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, hydraulics, and electrical system diagnostics.
- Knowledge of Mack and Volvo brands is preferred.
- Skilled in reading schematics and using power tools for complex repairs.
- Prior experience working on vehicle maintenance for truck drivers or service technician roles is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent problem-solving skills; ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
