Ministry Function
The Network Operations Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by assisting with all aspects of administrative support, event support, volunteer engagement, project management for the Network Division and its working groups.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Acts as point of contact for the Vice President – Network Operations and Network team members. This includes calendar meetings and events, project management, donor communications, and detailed follow-up on projects.
- Demonstrates sound decision-making skills on behalf of the Vice President – Network Operations in all areas of administrative support.
- Coordinates with the Travel team on trip arrangements for Network members.
- Composes correspondence, compiles reports, processes words, and creates spreadsheets.
- Maintains calendars and schedules for both division, working group, and public calendars.
- Prepares expense reports for the Vice President – Network Operations.
- Provides support for Network events and trips.
- Assists team members with time sensitive or high-volume projects.
- Creates and implements division-wide reflective standard operating procedures.
- Manages confidential information in a professional manner.
- Interacts graciously and supportively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Ensures effective communication and collaborative opportunities are in place within the division, as well as from the division to other areas of the organization.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2 years' experience in assisting executive-level positions or demonstrated ability to thrive in a similar environment is required.
- Experience working with confidential material is required.
- Proficient use of computer software programs, including Gmail, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills for handling several projects at one time.
- Displays strong attention to detail and follow through without direct supervision.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills for dealing with team members, contractors, vendors, and donors.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attends and actively participates in COH At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
- Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
- Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
- As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises the Network Relations Administrative Assistant team, and may supervise interns and volunteers on an irregular basis.
