Ministry Function:
The Legal Operations Assistant supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by assisting the Legal Counsel – Staff Attorney (LCSA), Paralegal, and the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) with contract routing and maintaining contract files, as well as maintaining files for intellectual property owned by Convoy of Hope.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with routing contracts for signature and maintaining contract files across multiple systems and platforms.
- Assists with maintaining trademark documents, including but not limited to applications, certificates, and related correspondence.
- Assists with the documentation of the contracting process and team workflows.
- Assists with creating and maintaining signature routing templates and contract analysis templates as directed.
- Actively participates in ministerial duties related to the mission of Convoy of Hope as assigned.
- Fulfills all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- One year experience in a corporate or nonprofit environment is required. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; a high-school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Displays strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and follow-through.
- Exhibits exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Possesses experience seeing projects through their full life cycles.
- Exhibits strong Mac or PC proficiency and working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn other COH systems as needed.
- Possesses the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with discretion.
