Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Certified Medical Assistant role located in Tampa, FL. The Certified Medical Assistant will be responsible for performing clinical and administrative tasks to support healthcare providers and ensure efficient operation of the office. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, measuring vital signs, administering injections, processing lab specimens, maintaining medical equipment, and managing patient records. The role will also involve assisting with patient education and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering injections, and collecting specimens
- Experience with medical record management and maintaining accurate patient documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide patient education and support
- Ability to operate and maintain medical equipment and ensure a clean and organized clinical environment
- Knowledge of healthcare protocols, safety practices, and regulatory compliance standards
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, especially working with seniors, is a plus
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred
