Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all store operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift management, and daily sales activities.
• Supervise and train staff on customer service standards, POS (Point of Sale) systems, merchandising, stocking, cash handling, and safety protocols.
• Oversee inventory management, including purchasing, stock replenishment, inventory control, pricing strategies, and shrink reduction initiatives.
• Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving complaints effectively, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Implement marketing strategies to promote store products and services, including wireless sales and grocery items.
• Manage payroll processing, employee orientation, interviewing prospective team members, and ongoing training & development programs.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, manage budgets, and perform retail math calculations for sales analysis and financial reporting.
• Negotiate with vendors for purchasing needs while ensuring cost-effective procurement practices.
• Enforce store policies related to safety, cleanliness, merchandising standards, and compliance with company regulations.
• Utilize management skills to supervise employees’ performance reviews, motivate team members, and foster a positive work environment.
• Conduct regular store audits to ensure inventory accuracy, proper signage placement, pricing integrity, and overall store presentation.
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling staff shifts efficiently using organizational skills to meet business demands.
• Promote a culture of teamwork through effective communication skills and leadership that inspires staff to achieve their best.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory or assistant manager roles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of retail sales techniques including merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases.
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory management systems (POS), bookkeeping, payroll processing, cash handling, and retail math.
• Experience in recruiting new employees through interviewing techniques; employee orientation; training & development programs.
• Skilled in negotiation with vendors for purchasing needs; budgeting; marketing; merchandising; stock replenishment; inventory control; sales management; shift management; cashiering; customer service; wireless sales; organizational skills; time management; administrative experience; phone etiquette; leadership qualities; supervising teams effectively.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
