Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and transport materials efficiently throughout the warehouse
- Perform order picking using
pickers and ensure accurate selection for shipping or inventory replenishment - Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to OSHA standards and safety protocols
- Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments with precision
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Conduct materials handling activities including stacking, organizing, and storing products in designated areas
- Assist with construction-related tasks or heavy equipment operation as needed to support warehouse functions
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar logistics environments with a focus on order picking and materials handling
- Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with crane, clamp truck, pallet jack, and heavy equipment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues quickly
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for efficient inventory control
- Strong physical stamina capable of performing heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, load & unload activities, or construction environments is a plus
