The Director, Global Business Communications leads the development and execution of integrated global communications strategies that elevate Converse’s enterprise narrative. This role is responsible for shaping compelling storytelling across internal and external channels, aligning communications with business priorities and strengthening brand reputation across global audiences.

Director, Global Business Communications – Converse
Who You Will Work With
- Support members of the Converse Senior Leadership Team
- Partner with teams across Global Communications including Brand Communications and Media Relations
- Key cross-functional partners including Human Resources, Enterprise Acceleration, Business integration, Legal, Product and Brand Marketing.
- Peer relationships across NIKE, Inc. Global Communications function
- This role reports to the Sr. Director of Global Communications.
The Director, Global Business Communications leads the development and execution of integrated global communications strategies that elevate Converse’s enterprise narrative. This role is responsible for shaping compelling storytelling across internal and external channels, aligning communications with business priorities and strengthening brand reputation across global audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in communications or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training
- 10–15 years of experience in corporate, internal and/or executive communications highly preferred
- Proven expertise in both internal and external communications
- Strong experience developing and executing global communications strategies
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and messaging skills
- Experience advising senior leadership and navigating complex organizations
- Experience in budget management
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Passion for communications and the Converse brand
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Develop and execute comprehensive global communications strategies aligned with business and brand objectives
- Ensure consistency across corporate, internal and external messaging
- Drive integrated communications planning across multiple channels and regions
- Define and evolve Converse’s global narrative and positioning
- Translate business strategy into engaging, culturally relevant storytelling
- Ensure messaging resonates with diverse, global audiences
- Lead employee communications and engagement strategies
- Oversee corporate communications, including external storytelling and media positioning for leadership and beyond
- Manage communications channels and campaigns across platforms
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing communications team
- Foster collaboration, innovation, and accountability
- Manage cross-functional workflows and priorities
- Partner with marketing, brand, and business leadership teams
- Align communications strategies with enterprise initiatives
- Provide strategic communications counsel to internal stakeholders
- Support efforts to enhance and protect Converse’s global brand reputation
- Ensure consistent voice and messaging across all stakeholder touchpoints
- Contribute to broader corporate narrative and positioning
