The Role
As a lead to those involved in highly technical and custom work, you are required to be innovative and have a solutions mindset. You should expect to spend at least 10% of your time involved with project-based obstacles and creativity with our customers. Bringing state of the art solutions to the table and guiding the mechanical team to new innovative ideas and creativity. This position reports to the VP of Manufacturing.

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Continuously improves processes and delivers conforming quality products and services to internal/external customers
- Interfaces with build staff and other departments
- Leads and directs the assembly of assigned projects
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Coordinates machine tool operations
- Troubleshoots and debugs issues
- Provides customer service
- Participates in all required meetings
- Build, tear down, ship, install, and services equipment
- Participate in training and train new staff
- Generates reports
- Participates in training
- Mechanical build duties
- Investigates/researches new projects
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completed apprenticeship in related field
- Basic machine tool operation knowledge
- Five (5) years’ experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and an ability to travel; although this position is focused on local clients and minimal travel is required, you should have the ability to travel within US and International
- Reliable transportation and an ability to travel; Mechanical Assembly Leads at Convergix should have the ability to travel within the US and Canada.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.
- Occasionally lifts or move up to 25 pounds.
