Title: Van DRIVER

Job Summary:
- Operate company passenger van/bus to transport clients to and from the Adult Day Health program, as well as residents of the nursing facility and assisted living facility (where applicable), to doctor appointments, outings, etc. and transport staff members to and from work at scheduled times on a regular route. Will also fill in, if needed, for other transportation or vehicle needs.
- To complete all routes as near to schedule as possible, and communicate to the facility if there is any anticipated/ actual deviations from schedule.
- Check appointment book daily for assignment.
- To be courteous to all clients, residents, employees and public at all times.
- Maintain company vehicles according to company policy.
- Check van/bus for oil, water, etc. and keeps them replenished as needed.
- Conduct safety checks and immediately notify the Adult Day Health Director of any violations/irregularities. Make appointments as necessary with an authorized repair garage to correct any problems.
- Maintain mileage log on a daily basis indicating time left, destination, time returned and total mileage. Present copy of log to Adult Day Health Director on a daily basis and complete log at month end.
Qualifications:
- EDUCATION: Ability to speak and read English. Ability to follow oral and written directions in English.
- Drivers’ pre-employment requirements: Must have 3 years driving experiences. Be able to pass a physical. Be able to pass a CORI (criminal background check). Must be 21 years or older. Be able to pass lab drug test and employment verification check
