Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician II maintains CNC equipment, automated and manual production equipment, building systems, gas distribution systems, and production related equipment.
The Maintenance Technician II’s specific job duties include:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC equipment (such as mills, turning centers, and Swiss lathes);
- Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machines and automated production lines (such as presses, drills, and cleaning systems)
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and servicing the buildings systems to include but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and lighting;
- Repairing and maintaining air compressors;
- Repairing and maintaining the helium and nitrogen compressed gas systems to include gas lines, compressed gas cylinders, pumps, distribution systems, bulk tanks, and test stands; and
- Any collateral duties assigned at the supervisor’s discretion.
Job Prerequisites
Maintenance Technician II requires the following education, experience, and skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Minimum of 6 years industrial maintenance experience in a CNC machining environment; and
- Ability to read and understand machine manuals, schematics, and technical repair documents.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position involves considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking and stooping, and handling of materials, as well as strong manual dexterity. This position occasionally requires lifting and maneuvering up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity is required to properly inspect parts for conformance to quality standards.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, higher temperatures than other production areas, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
