Plant Health Care Specialist

We're looking for experienced landscapers or tree trimmers looking to make a move into Plant Health Care. Must be able to identify trees and shrubs. Common names only. We provide training for pesticide licenses, pay for annual pesticide renewal, and send you to classes for credits to maintain license. We'll also provide you with a ISA Certified Arborist training manuel to study for exam at your own pace. Come grow with us!

Responsibilities

• Identify and treat trees and shrubs for pests and diseases.
• Fertilize trees and shrubs based on soil tests.
• Monitor for pests and diseases
• Communicate with customers in your route.
• Occasionally help out with bed weed control applications and mosquito control applications.
• Walk property with homeowners and discuss their landscape.
• Operate company truck safely
• Use truck mounted spray tank with 300' hose to make applications.
• Use backpack sprayer
• Use tablet for routing and customer information.

Qualifications

• Growing experience in horticulture, arboriculture, or landscape maintenance is highly preferred.
• Must know common names of trees and shrubs in the landscape.
• Strong interest in tree care and overall plant health management.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina for manual tasks.
• Drivers license
• Certifications or training in horticulture or arboriculture are a plus but not required; a willingness to learn is essential. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
