Position Summary:
The Tactical Training Master Instructor serves as the lead subject matter expert responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating advanced tactical training programs. This role ensures that personnel are trained to the highest standards of operational readiness, safety, and mission effectiveness. The instructor will oversee curriculum design, instructor mentorship, scenario development, and performance assessment for tactical, firearms, defensive tactics, and operational leadership courses.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction & Training Delivery
Lead advanced tactical, firearms, and close-quarters combat (CQC) instruction for law enforcement, military, corrections, or private security personnel.
Conduct scenario-based and live-fire training under dynamic and realistic conditions.
Instruct in tactical decision-making, mission planning, breaching, team movement, and threat engagement.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and range regulations.
Curriculum Development & Oversight
Design and continuously improve tactical training programs based on operational requirements and emerging threats.
Develop training plans, lesson materials, evaluation tools, and after-action review (AAR) templates.
Integrate new technologies, tactics, and training methodologies into curriculum.
Instructor Mentorship & Leadership
Supervise and mentor junior instructors; provide coaching and professional development.
Conduct instructor certifications and performance evaluations.
Maintain high standards of instructional quality, discipline, and professionalism across all training cadres.
Program Management & Administration
Manage training schedules, logistics, and resource allocation.
Maintain accurate training records and qualification documentation.
Coordinate with operational units, command staff, and partner agencies to align training objectives with mission goals.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum [8–10] years of operational experience in military, law enforcement, or tactical operations (e.g., SWAT, Special Forces, or equivalent).
Certified instructor in at least two of the following disciplines: firearms, defensive tactics, breaching, tactical medicine, or use of force.
Proven experience in training program development and instructional delivery.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to operate safely in high-stress, dynamic environments.
Proficient in risk management and safety assessment for tactical training operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a senior instructor or training program manager.
Certifications from recognized institutions (FLETC, NRA LEAD, POST, US Army / SOCOM Schools, etc.).
Experience with simulation systems, virtual training platforms, or force-on-force instruction.
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Education, or related field (preferred, not required).
Combat lifesaver or tactical medical certification.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and demonstrate all the techniques taught.
Capable of working outdoors in varied weather conditions and extended training hours.
Ability to lift and carry equipment exceeding 50 lbs.
