Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team. This role involves driving projects from concept through market release, ensuring innovative and cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands-on experience with mechanical systems, and proficiency in advanced design tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design projects from initial concept to final product release.
  • Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, including new product development and cost-reduction efforts.
  • Validate designs through prototype construction and rigorous evaluation.
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports outlining objectives, procedures, and results.
  • Research and specify components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop manufacturing and assembly drawings, along with test and inspection documentation.
  • Apply GD&T schemes and perform tolerance analysis for critical fits.
  • Present project documentation and findings during review meetings.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to optimize assembly methods and processes.

Essential Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in mechanical design and manufacturing.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (SolidWorks experience is a plus).
  • Knowledge of metal die and investment casting, machining, and finishing processes.
  • Experience with diaphragms, gaskets, and O-ring seals.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic force balance systems.
  • Proficiency in using amperage and voltage power supplies, multi-meters, and soldering equipment.
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Arduino and MATLAB.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot low-power circuits (4–20mA / 0–10VDC).
  • Familiarity with analysis software (CFD, FEA).
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Location Approvals (FM, CSA, ATEX).
  • Experience in valve and spring design.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
