What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Inspector / Commodity Surveyor position at Control Union United States Inc?
Execution of surveys for different commodities
Essential Tasks as a Field Inspector / Commodity Surveyor:
- Execution of vessel/barge draft surveys
- Execution of cargo surveys
- Superintending Liquid cargoes
- Superintending Bulk, Breakbulk, Liquid and Containerized cargoes
- Sampling and Sample preparation of Cargoes
- Conduct field testing
- Perform sample dispatch
- Liaison with personnel of CU offices/subcontractor / vessel agents / terminals for execution of orders
- Advise PM, office staff, and clients of the progress of the job
- Handling and recording of samples
- Check and verify documentation received from CU offices/subcontractors for accuracy
- Issue field reports and daily updates
- Email/fax/mail/courier to client or lab necessary documentation/samples
Non-Essential Tasks as a Field Inspector / Commodity Surveyor:
- Assist PM or Upper Management in any miscellaneous duties
- 10% Other task as assigned
