You’ll work alongside experienced technicians and gain hands-on training in the field.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of fire alarm systems, security systems (CCTV, access control), and structured cabling in commercial buildings
- Support lead technicians with pulling cable, mounting devices, and basic system installation tasks
- Help with material handling, tool setup, and job site preparation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with troubleshooting and system testing under supervision
- Work collaboratively with electricians and other trades on job sites
- Follow instructions from foremen and senior technicians to complete projects on time
- Communicate job progress and report any issues to supervisors
- Complete required daily reports and company documentation
- Interest in low voltage systems, fire alarm, or electrical work
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction environments (preferred, not required)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow in the trade
- Ability to work on active construction sites
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing a ladder, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools as required and lifting to 75lbs.
