HR Manager - Normal hard working HR person
Administer employee benefits package for employee groups, including union, field, employees.
· Serve as program administer for Company’s 401(k) plan, including relationship with 3rd party administrator.
· Respond to requests for employment and salary verifications. Payroll
· Process weekly payroll for employee groups, including preparation and distribution of payroll checks.
· Prepare check requests for payroll-related remittances.
· Record/monitor employee attendance.
Assists in preparation of monthly closing sheets for reconciliation of payroll detail to G/L.
· Process Workers’ Compensation paperwork. Staffing and Recruiting
· Responsible for recruitment for open positions in the Company, including screening potential candidates/resumes.
· Counsel supervisor/manager on candidate selection.
· Organize a comprehensive new employee orientation and lead new onboarding.
· Responsible for layout process and distribution of unemployment documents.
· Conduct exit interviews and relay relevant feedback to supervisor.
· Manage relationships with recruitment and temporary help agencies.
· Maintain Company profiles and monitor activity on recruitment websites (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.)
Labor Law and Regulations
· Ensure the Company is in compliance with Federal and State employment law.
· Responsible for interactions with labor attorneys to resolve issues as they arise.
· Enforce management guidelines by preparing, updating, and communicating human resource policies and procedures.
· Retain historical human resource records by modernizing a filing and retrieval system for past and current records.
A bachelor’s degree in H.R. or related field.
· A minimum of 5 years of H.R. experience, preferably in the construction industry.
· Experience in policy development, conflict resolution and legal compliance.
· At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
