Contractors Pipe & Supply is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our Farmington Hills team. The ideal candidate will have plumbing product knowledge and experience helping contractors find the right materials for their jobs.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the sales counter and over the phone
- Identify plumbing products and recommend appropriate materials
- Enter and process customer orders accurately
- Check product availability and pricing
- Pull orders and assist with loading materials when needed
- Restock shelves and help maintain an organized counter and warehouse
- Build strong relationships with customers by providing friendly, knowledgeable service
- Work closely with inside sales, purchasing, and warehouse employees
Requirements
- Plumbing product knowledge is required
- Previous plumbing wholesale, supply house, counter sales, or plumbing trade experience is preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer and order-entry skills
- Ability to accurately identify fittings, valves, pipe, fixtures, and other plumbing materials
- Dependable, motivated, and willing to work as part of a team
- Ability to lift and carry plumbing materials safely
